Welcome to Romance Sweet Reads! Today, we’ll be featuring Henrik's Pursuit, by author Kandice E. Geddes, the third book in the new Land Run Mail-Order Brides multi-author series. Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be sharing all twelve books in this wonderful new sweet/inspirational, western historical romance series set among the Oklahoma Land Runs from the late 1800s. Sit back, and enjoy a sneak peek!

He'll race for her dreams and her heart.

Madeline Doyle’s imagination soars as high as the plots in her novels. She’s tired of her destitute life in Boston and seeks adventure in the wild west. Not only that, she can’t abide scraping by a moment longer to keep her and her three younger sisters alive. Marrying a rich man could solve so many of their obstacles. She sets out to claim her dreams and to help her family; if that involves answering a mail-order bride ad, so be it.

Madeline arrives in the Oklahoma territory days before a great land-run race is to take place. But she all too soon discovers that she misinterpreted the letter from the man she set out to marry. A poor man working for the railroad, no matter how handsome, just won’t do.

Henrik Evans is instantly enchanted with the spirited woman who has come to be his bride, but when she finds out he hasn’t a penny to his name, she rejects his offer of marriage. With his pride bruised, he attempts to forget about the beautiful woman, but when circumstances keep throwing them together, he can’t deny his growing affection for her. Out of options, he strikes a bargain with her, instantly capturing her interest. If claiming her dream piece of land is the way to claim her heart, Henrik will race against any obstacle to find it. But when an interloper with his pockets full of gold overhears Henrik's bargain, he too wants in. And to Henrik’s great dismay, Madeline all too quickly agrees.

Will Henrik’s pursuit be enough to win her heart, or will another claim it first?

Kandice Geddes was born and raised beside the red hills of St. George, Utah. She discovered her love of writing as a small child and began creating stories about mermaids falling for dashing princes. Thank you, Disney. And it only continued from there.

She graduated from Southern Utah University with a track scholarship in Elementary Education and taught 1st Grade for four years.

While living in northern Colorado, she rediscovered her love of writing, especially within the world of sweet romance, and has been pursuing it ever since.

Some of her other loves are: reading, drawing, sugar cookies, watching Disney movies (shocker I know), and spending time with her swoony husband and two highly spirited boys.

Oklahoma’s Land Runs began on April 22, 1889. There would be five land runs with the last one taking place on May 23, 1895. Each book in the series is set around one of these land runs.

You can find all twelve books in this series on Kindle Unlimited
