He'll race for her dreams and her heart.

Madeline Doyle’s imagination soars as high as the plots in her novels. She’s tired of her destitute life in Boston and seeks adventure in the wild west. Not only that, she can’t abide scraping by a moment longer to keep her and her three younger sisters alive. Marrying a rich man could solve so many of their obstacles. She sets out to claim her dreams and to help her family; if that involves answering a mail-order bride ad, so be it.

Madeline arrives in the Oklahoma territory days before a great land-run race is to take place. But she all too soon discovers that she misinterpreted the letter from the man she set out to marry. A poor man working for the railroad, no matter how handsome, just won’t do.

Henrik Evans is instantly enchanted with the spirited woman who has come to be his bride, but when she finds out he hasn’t a penny to his name, she rejects his offer of marriage. With his pride bruised, he attempts to forget about the beautiful woman, but when circumstances keep throwing them together, he can’t deny his growing affection for her. Out of options, he strikes a bargain with her, instantly capturing her interest. If claiming her dream piece of land is the way to claim her heart, Henrik will race against any obstacle to find it. But when an interloper with his pockets full of gold overhears Henrik's bargain, he too wants in. And to Henrik’s great dismay, Madeline all too quickly agrees.

Will Henrik’s pursuit be enough to win her heart, or will another claim it first?

Kandice Geddes was born and raised beside the red hills of St. George, Utah. She discovered her love of writing as a small child and began creating stories about mermaids falling for dashing princes. Thank you, Disney. And it only continued from there.

She graduated from Southern Utah University with a track scholarship in Elementary Education and taught 1st Grade for four years.

While living in northern Colorado, she rediscovered her love of writing, especially within the world of sweet romance, and has been pursuing it ever since.

Some of her other loves are: reading, drawing, sugar cookies, watching Disney movies (shocker I know), and spending time with her swoony husband and two highly spirited boys.

Orphaned as a young girl, Ella longs for a life she’s only read about in books. To escape a desperate situation, she heads west as a mail-order bride, narrowing her choice of spouse to three brothers, a millwright, a businessman, and a horse trainer, all searching for a marriage of convenience which will provide the inheritance that will finance the family’s business venture in Oklahoma.
Newspapers claim the unchartered territory is a land where streams flow with milk and the heavens rain down a supply of honey. Will her road lead to the Promised Land?

“Should you all agree, all three of you are to apply with a matchmaker through my sister’s attorney. A simple questionnaire and a letter where you will give an honest account of who you are, your plans, and what you are looking for in a wife are required. Then, should someone write back, you strike up a correspondence.”

Merle chuckled. “This could take months but more likely years.”

“There is certainly no rush. You could still proceed with life as normal, go about your plans for the land run, stake your claim, and if you find yourself married even years later, the money will be available at that time.” His father leaned forward. “However, if all three of you complete the first step, you will earn an initial bonus.”

“How much of a bonus?” Henry’s brow furrowed. “If I’m taking on a wife, that’s an extra expense. She might be wanting doodads and fancy dresses, and I have a mill to build.”

“The attorney will be here this afternoon to go over all the details. But the good news for your mill is that after the first is married, the additional funds for all the projects will be available.” J.R. Bolton lifted his cup in a toast.

“This is already more trouble than it’s worth.” Merle pulled on his ear. “But let me make sure I understand. We receive a portion of the money just by applying with this matchmaker?”

“Yes, that is true.” The deep chuckle emitting from his father’s chest caused Merle’s brow to furrow. Is my father laughing because the entire idea is ridiculous? Something tells me the old man is up to something.

Kimberly Grist is married to her high school sweetheart, Nelson, a former teacher and coach, now a pastor. They have three adult sons, one with Down syndrome, and they have a passion for encouraging others with family members with special needs.

As a young girl, I enjoyed making up stories to make people laugh. But in reality, I wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder of Little House on the Prairie fame. The problem is I was born in the wrong century. My stories are designed to entertain, refresh, and encourage you, the reader. They combine History, Humor, and Romance, emphasizing Faith, Friends, and Good Clean Fun.

JOSHUA'S BRIDE by Author Zina Abbott **Book Birthday** *Land Run Mail-Order Brides*

Welcome to Romance Sweet Reads! Today, we’ll be featuring Joshua’s Bride, by Author Zina Abbott, the first book in the new Land Run Mail-Order Brides multi-author series. Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be sharing all twelve books in this wonderful new sweet/inspirational, western historical romance series set among the Oklahoma Land Runs from the late 1800s. Sit back, and enjoy a sneak peek!
As arable farmland grows scarce, the United States opens up former sections of Indian Territory for homesteading. Those who want to claim land must make a run for it.

Should she claim her own land when he has a claim on her heart?

Rose Calloway feels guilty about living off her sister, Marigold’s, meager schoolmarm’s wages. In spite of taking in sewing, it is not enough to support herself. She sees little future for marriage in a town where people are still struggling from the latest economic depression. She responded to a matrimonial advertisement, and after corresponding for several months, sees great promise for her future with Joshua Kent.

Joshua Kent, landless and working as a farrier, sees promise in the land run planned for the Cherokee Outlet in Oklahoma Territory. Knowing once he claims his land, he will need a wife, he places a matrimonial advertisement. He soon decides Rose Calloway is the woman he wishes to marry. However, once he realizes there might be more applicants than there is available land, he warns Rose he can only marry if he is successful claiming his own homestead.

Marigold, realizing the land run will bring new families, sees there will be a need for teachers and a chance to achieve her dream. She decides to make her own land claim and insists Rose is welcome to join her.

Rose is homeless unless she marries or goes with her sister. She holds a certificate for the latest Oklahoma land run in one hand and the final letter from Joshua Kent in the other. Her dream is to marry Joshua, not own land. What will she do now?

Available exclusively on Kindle Unlimited.

His hands hanging at his sides, Joshua froze in place as he stared at the woman before him. Rose Calloway? Iowa might be flooded with Calloways, but how many Rose Calloways with blonde hair lived there—especially those about the age as the woman to whom he wrote?

Her brow wrinkled. “Joshua Kent? Your name is Joshua Kent?” She tipped her head to the side as she studied him.

“In the flesh, miss. You’re Rose Calloway from Iowa?” His brow wrinkled as he studied her. “From Cutler, Iowa, by chance?”

“Yes.” Her gaze locked on his face, Rose’s response came out as a whisper. She licked her lips and blinked as her gaze moved everyplace but his face. “I-I knew you lived in Wichita, but I didn’t intend to look you up or-or bother you. I…um…” She turned her face aside.

“No bother. I’m happy I could help. Honestly.”

Del, holding one of the trunks with both hands, stepped forward and looked first at Joshua, then at Rose Calloway. He scrunched his forehead. “You’re Joshua’s Rose?”

Joshua watched the woman before him press her eyes shut and bite her bottom lip. Joshua’s Rose. It sounded incredibly good to Joshua—so right. However, since he had nothing to offer her yet, he had no claim on her.

DAYTONA DO OVER by Author London James **Book Birthday** *A Summer Vacation Romance*

Welcome to Romance Sweet Reads! Today, we’ll be featuring Daytona Do Over, by Author London James, the first book in the new multi-author series, A Summer Vacation Romance. Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be sharing all twelve books in this wonderful new sweet/inspirational, contemporary romance series set among some of our vacation destinations. Sit back, enjoy a sneak peek, and let’s see just how far we can arm-chair travel!
Lexi Carter was sure of two things. One, she loved her boyfriend, Shane, and two, although she planned an elaborate trip to see the Coke Zero 400, she knew nothing about cars. Nothing. After she catches Shane sneaking off with another woman, Lexi now has two choices—go on this expensive, already-paid-for trip or be out thousands of dollars. Not wanting to waste money, and figuring she can just skip the race, Lexi packs her bags and heads off to sunny Daytona, Florida, and her fabulous rented beach house.

Racecar owner and driver Max Stone has one thing on his mind—the NASCAR Championship Series at the end of the year. He has all the qualifying points needed, several wins under his belt, and was in the prime of his career. At least he was until the association found tainted gas in his race car after the last race. His crew chief isn’t talking and although he knew nothing of the gas, Max is facing a horrible scandal and one that could end his season. To hide away from the press, he flees his home to hide out in a rented beach house in Daytona while he awaits his trial.

When the pair find out that the travel agent double booked their private beach house, they must either spend their vacations together under one roof or find other accommodations. With the race coming up, however, any available rooms are lackluster at best. Can they make the most of an awkward situation? And will Max get the okay to race again before it’s too late?

Available exclusively on Kindle Unlimited

I don’t know why I’m doing this for him.

Lexi Carter stood in the middle of her San Francisco apartment, surveying all the birthday decorations. It was her boyfriend, Shane’s birthday, and she was throwing him a surprise party.

Him.

The same man who she had been arguing with all week over what they would and would not do on their vacation to Florida next week.

So why was she still throwing him a party? She didn’t exactly know, but she was sure that although they’d been fighting about everything from the trip to her moving into his apartment, they still loved each other, and she still wanted to be with him.

Perhaps the party would not only cheer him up, but it would set things right between them.

“When is Shane supposed to be home?” Tori, Lexi’s best friend from longer than she cared to admit, stood next to the coffee table unrolling another pack of streamers. The diamond on her wedding ring flashed in the light from the ceiling, and her growing pregnant belly popped out under her dress.

So much had changed in the year since Lexi left Clarksville to move to San Francisco to be near Shane, and whenever she saw her friend, she couldn’t help but feel a twinge of guilt. Or perhaps it was regret. They always talked about being married and pregnant at the same time so their kids could grow up together.

“Shouldn’t be long. I think about a half an hour, and he’ll be here.”

“Where does he think you are?”

“On my way to visit you for the weekend.” Lexi laughed and reached out for the roll of streamers. “I told him I would be back in time to get everything together for our trip, though.”

“Have you guys decided what you’re going to do the entire week in Florida?”

Lexi shook her head. “Not exactly. We have the race day, so that’s one day planned, but we haven’t been able to agree on the other six days. I want to see the sights like there is a manatee island.”

“I know how much you love marine life.”

“I know, right? I swear I still think I was a fool not to go to college and become a marine biologist.” Lexi bent down and wrapped the streamers around one of the legs of the coffee table. “It was just too much school, though. I didn’t have the patience . . . or the money.” She moved over to the next leg, and, after wrapping all four, she stood. “But I also wanted to see some historical sites, maybe go for a hike or a bike ride in a nature preserve or state park.”

“And what does he want to do?”

“Park himself on the beach with a cooler.”

“The whole time?”

“The whole time. He said it’s his birthday vacation too, so he should get dibs on what we do.”

“Well, it may be his birthday, but you’re the one footing the bill.”

“Yeah, I know. And a week at a rented beach house in Florida didn’t come cheap. Plus, the tickets to the Coke Zero 400. They were a pretty penny, too. But he’s looking forward to it, and it is a vacation. Even if I’m stuck on the beach, it will still be relaxing.”

Tori cocked her head to the side, and her eyebrows furrowed. “Is it odd to you he’s suddenly into car racing?”

“At first it was, but he’s a sportswriter. I figure one of them is bound to become an obsession.” Lexi waved off her words and moved around to the kitchen, setting the unused roll of streamers on the counter. She made her way to the refrigerator and opened it, bending down to grab not one but two vegetable trays from the shelf before she set them on the kitchen table and went back for the two meat trays and the two fruit trays.

“What else do you need help with?” Tori asked.

“Nothing. I put everything out. We are just waiting for a few more guests—” A knock rapped on the door. “Which are probably here now, and we should be all set.” She motioned over to the couch where Dane, Tori’s husband, sat looking through a magazine he’d grabbed off the end table. “Go sit with your husband and relax.”

While Tori did as Lexi said, Lexi answered the door, welcoming the last guests to the party. She texted Shane and smiled as her phone buzzed. “He said he’s almost home,” she said, shaking her phone in the air.

All the guests quieted down. Some hid behind pieces of furniture while others just took their seats on one of the couches or dining room chairs. Lexi stood by the door. Her heart thumped, and although Shane had said in his text that he was tired and would probably just go to bed when he got home, her excitement sent butterflies fluttering in her stomach.

She couldn’t wait to surprise him and see his reaction.

Keys jingled from the other side of the door, and one slid into the lock. It flipped, but before the door opened, a woman giggled on the other side.

Lexi froze.

Welcome to my little corner of the internet! So who am I? Well, it's quite simple actually. I'm an author who writes in her fuzzy pants and loves her family, horses, and cats! I write Sweet Historical Romance and Sweet Contemporary Romance. If you're looking for something with just a bit more heat (not too much) or love Women's Fiction, check out my pen name Angela Christina Archer!

Growing up in Nevada, reading was always a pastime that took second place to trail riding and showing horses. When I did find the time in my youth to curl up with a book, I found enjoyment in the Saddle Club Series, the Sweet Valley High series, and the classics of Anne of Green Gables, The Box Car Children, and Little House on the Prairie. Although writing always piqued my curiosity, it wasn’t until September 2009 that I worked up the courage to put my passion to paper and started my debut novel.

I live on a ranch with my husband, two daughters, and many farm animals. When I'm not writing, I spend my days from dawn to dusk as a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I also work in my garden and takes care of my many farm animals, as well as I love to bake and cook from scratch. While I don't show horses anymore, I still love to trail ride my paint horse, Honky, as well as I, enjoy teaching my daughters how to ride their horses, Chubs and Cowboy.

SUNDAES ON SUNDAY by Author Lucinda Race **Book Birthday**

Welcome to Romance Sweet Reads. Today, it's my pleasure to welcome author Lucinda Race. We'll be sharing her Book Birthday for her new release, Sundaes on Sunday, part of the Sandy Bay Series of sweet romances.

Although her husband died a year ago, first grade school teacher Lisa Peck is keeping one tradition she shared with him: sundaes every Sunday at their special place, Seaside Scoops. It’s there that she meets a precocious five-year-old, Allie, and her handsome, dark-haired father, Hunter.

Airline pilot Hunter Adams has been a single dad since his wife died when Allie was a baby. He has his life perfectly arranged. Allie stays with her grandparents during the week while he flies, then he spends weekends with his daughter, including taking her for sweet treats at Seaside Scoops. But Allie has never before been drawn to someone as quickly as she’s drawn to Lisa. Is it just a little girl interested in a pretty woman, or is it fate pulling Lisa and Hunter together?

Lisa is cautious, but maybe it’s time to move on from the past and take a second chance on love. Everyone is encouraging Hunter to do the same, but will Lisa think he’s just trying to find a mother for his child? Maybe Allie is wiser than the adults in her life. Will their sundaes on Sunday lead to true love every day of the week?

Available exclusively on Kindle Unlimited

Lisa sat alone at a table for two. Seaside Scoops had been their special place every week for the last four years where they could relax and gear up for the week ahead. She smiled in spite of her sadness when she thought of what Brian used to call their standing date, sundaes on Sunday. A year ago, he would have been sitting across from her in the quaint seaside town, wearing a silly grin with a dab of whipped cream on his nose, all in an attempt to make her laugh. It was corny but what she wouldn’t give to see it one more time.

The last time they had been there he’d had a hot fudge on coffee. It’s funny how some things just stick. Like the fact he always took her cherry since she hated them and he loved them which is why she always ordered one. It was one of the small ways they fit together like two halves of a whole.

She looked across the narrow strip of sand to the Atlantic Ocean. Traffic was almost nonexistent on this early Sunday afternoon. The mid-spring sun was warm without the need for the pink and white umbrella to be raised. Few people were sitting outside; tourists hadn’t started to show up yet, but it was just a matter of time, and then she’d adjust to coming just before dinner—that too had been Brian’s suggestion.

As she spooned the last of the now-melted strawberry ice cream from the silver dish, she noticed a man and a little girl sitting two tables over. She was wearing a sweet yellow jumper and a white shirt with bright-red Mary Jane shoes. She couldn’t have been older than four if Lisa had to guess. She was younger than her first-grade students.

Her sweet voice caught Lisa’s attention; it held a soft Southern drawl. “Daddy, how come we can’t have ice cream every day? It’s so good. I really like strawberry ice cream the best, even better than hot dogs.” She looked up at him with big cornflower-blue eyes and her medium-length dark hair was pulled to the side of her face with a butterfly barrette. She was adorable but looked nothing like her dad except her deep dimples; she must favor her mother.

Her father smothered a chuckle. “Ice cream is a treat, Allie, which is why we have it on the weekend.”

He lifted his eyes and gave Lisa a smile and half nod. She quickly looked away, embarrassed to be caught eavesdropping. If only her life had turned out differently.

A short time later the dad wiped his daughter’s hands on a napkin as best he could and placed the dishes in the container on the metal stand. Lisa held an open book in her hand but wasn’t reading it. Instead, her eyes were closed as she listened to the soothing sound of the waves crashing on the shore.

“Daddy?” Allie whispered loudly. “Do you think the pretty lady is sleeping?”

Lisa opened her eyes and gave her a small smile. “No. I’m listening to the ocean.”

Her mouth dropped open, and then she walked over to where Lisa was sitting and climbed onto a chair next to her as if they had known each other forever.

“If I close my eyes, can I hear it too?”

Her dad said, “Allie, let’s leave the lady alone; she seems to be enjoying her day.”

Lisa’s heart cracked a little. Every Sunday was the same, as if on repeat like an old movie. “I’d like the company if it’s okay with you.”

He pulled out a chair. Taking his daughter’s hand, he relented. “Just for a minute, and then we need to go.”

She couldn’t help but notice his soft-brown eyes and thick dark hair, cut short for what she guessed was ease of maintenance. He wore khaki shorts and a faded blue tee and flip-flops. Sitting across from her, he was taller by a full foot. But it was his warm smile that made her heart rate tick up in an unexpected way.

She held out her hand to the child. “I’m Lisa Peck.” Her eyes drifted to the dad.

“I’m Allie and this is my daddy.”

He gave her another warm smile. “Hunter Adams, father to a very precocious daughter.”

“It’s nice to meet you both.” She focused her attention on Allie. “Close your eyes and really think about listening to all the sounds around you. I’ll bet you can hear the waves crashing on the shoreline.”

She immediately closed her eyes and her dark lashes fluttered over her cheeks, so sweet and trusting.

“Tell me what you hear.”

Her eyes popped open, and she said, “You talking.

FALLING FOR PAIGE UNDER THE PEACH TREE by Author Kandice E. Geddes **Book Birthday** **The Orchard Brides**

Well, we've made it! The final book, of ten, in The Orchard Brides series of sweet/inspirational romances. Falling for Paige Under the Peach Tree is from Author Kandice E. Geddes is today's feature.

What do you do when you and your twin sister are attracted to the same man?
Fight it out of course...
Or there's always the nicer option of helping your much quieter sister catch the guy.

Identical twins, Paige and Pam, have been inseparable their whole lives. Paige is outgoing and bubbly, whereas Pam is quiet and insecure. They share everything from clothes, to shoes, to the peaches in their family's orchard. But when it comes to men, Pam has always backed down. Unfortunately, they have the same taste as far as the male species goes as well.

But this time, Paige feels like it's her sisterly duty to help Pam catch the guy, even if Chase Spencer is likely the most attractive man to walk the face of the planet. He's tall, dark, and has the dreamiest blue eyes Paige has ever seen. But when she discovers how over the moon Pam is for him, she devises a plan to help her sister come out of her shell, coaching her in ways to attract a man, even if that involves pretending to be Pam when the need calls for it.

Too bad in all her attempts to help her sister, Paige has fallen even harder for Chase, and even worse, he seems to have fallen hard for her as well, thinking she’s her twin. Now she's torn between telling Chase and Pam the truth and risk losing both of their trust forever, or keeping her secret going while hoping everything somehow works out. Yeah, not likely…

Oh, the webs we weave...

Falling for Page Under the Peach Tree is available exclusively

Prologue

“I am so in love!” I said, throwing myself against the back of the bench seat in our extended passenger van, and sighed like the thirteen-year-old girl I was.

“Oh really?” my twin sister Pam eyed me. “Who are you in love with this time?”

“Marcus Pastrami”… The boy’s name literally oozed like melted cheese drizzling over lasagne. He was the new boy at school and was a little too dreamy for his own good.
Pam’s cheeks burned prettily but she didn’t say anything. Did I look that good when I blushed? I could only assume so. Having your virtual mirror-image staring back at you at all times had its benefits. The only difference between us was the small dimple beside my mouth. But if we weren’t smiling, not even our mom could tell us apart.

She brushed a hand through her long dark hair—which also matched my own—and glanced out the window.

“Are you sure about Marcus?” she asked quietly, her eyes fixated on the passing trees. “He seems a little… bookish for you.”

“Are you calling me dumb, Pammy?”

“Of course not,” she whipped her head back around. “I just know you.”

“And I don’t like guys who read?”

Pam’s eyebrows dipped into a worried slant. “I’m sorry Paige. I didn’t mean to make you feel bad. I know you like guys who read. You’re very smart.”

I had a little too much fun messing with my twin sometimes. Pam was the sweetest person I knew and there was no one I felt closer to, but she might as well wear a big sign that said: I’m cute, I’m saintly, and sarcasm is lost on me.

“Relax, Pam, I’m just teasing.”

The van jerked in the next moment and I gripped the seat in front of me as we went over a large bump in the road, nearly hitting my head on the roof of the van and immediately darted a worried glance over at Pam. Sitting in the back was fun and all, but it didn’t do her weak stomach any favors. She’d get motion sick just walking too fast down the sidewalk. So, how we ended up in the back more often than not was a bit of a puzzle. But then again…

My older brothers and sisters were spoiled and never wanted to endure the roller coaster of the back. And my younger siblings were pretty much a circus sideshow; my mom and dad wanted to keep them close at all times. That left the forgotten saps of the middle of ten kids to sit in the back. And that’s exactly where Pam and I came in.

“Bucket!” she whimpered.

Like clockwork, I whipped the red bucket into her hand. It was usually a false alarm, but it was always good to be prepared.

“Mom!” my younger brother Price shouted. “Pam is puking again!”

“Does she have her bucket?” my mom called back.
